Larry Martin Courtright, 62, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on February 25, 2026. Born on November 16, 1963, in Denver, Colorado, Larry was the beloved son of Mary Courtright and the late Shorty Courtright.
Larry had a passion for ham radio and was an avid operator for many years. Known within the ham radio community as a dedicated enthusiast, he is now remembered as a "silent key," a term of respect for operators who have passed on. His love for communication and connection through this hobby left an indelible mark on those who shared his interest.
Larry cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandsons Brogan and Bodi. He found great joy in being outdoors and fishing during the times when his vision allowed him to fully enjoy nature's beauty. These moments brought him peace and happiness.
He is survived by his loving mother, Mary Courtright; his devoted daughter April Sapp and her husband Joe; and his treasured grandsons Brogan and Bodi. Larry also leaves behind his sisters Mary Kay Jude (Bob) and Kathy Pavlofsky; nieces Erika Hayes(Lynn), Victoria Ruiz, Joyce Gust(Gary), Shelby Day(Kyle), Amy Lynn Howerton; nephews Bobby Jude(Jenna) and Tommy Courtright(Bethany); as well as dear friends like Terry Crabtree and Terry’s sons. He was preceded in death by his father Shorty Courtright, brother Tommy Courtright and brother in law Howard Pavlofsky.
Larry’s memory will live in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy bring comfort to all who mourn his passing. A celebration of life will be held on March 13, 2026, from 3:00 to 5:00PM at Cotner Funeral Home 7369 E Main St Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068.
